These things are always good. I think I'd like to see more detail around the edges - so perhaps a bit more DOF would be good. I think it is just the hairs furtherest away that are just out of focus. Of course it might just be my eyes fooling me and it is just the multitude of hairs in spots.

I like the learning in this one. The black cow makes the final image of her come out as whatever overlay you used. In this case the rocks in the second image. This is a good way to show just what the difference overlay does. That in itself makes it worth posting this image. Although I'm not sure I could figure out that it was a cow if you hadn't told me so.

I like the way you got the detail from the side view. I think I agree with the others on his placement in the image. The green out of focus on the left bothers me, but I also want the butterfly more on the right side of the image. So when cropping I would take a bit more from the right than from the left. Just leave a tad more in front of the little guy than behind him.

Day 1: Falling sugar crystals

It looks more like you took the image through a microscope to get crystals that size. And the way they just seem to be floating in air makes it a really effective image. Very good focus, except the one in the lower right that is a bit too close bothers me a bit, when I look at this as a three dimensional capture with as I said the crystals looking like they are floating it ends up working for me.

very good all around. His expression makes me wonder what he is thinking. The woman in the background has a look of concern. And the placement of his hand frames her face giving it more than usual prominence in the image. Very well captured.
