It's all in the expression, though I always appreciate good BW tones.

Deb was right; we were in the same workshop.

They were both great models, weren't they?

Nice smile captured in this candid (I assume) photo. Like the softness and the light on her face. I feel a bit cramped in the crop though. Though, I am unsure if it's the height of the crop or the width that adds that feel.

Nice candid and what a great smile. Nice available lighting the soft focus doesn't distract to much, imo. i might crop down teh top just a bit over the grooms head, but that is just a matter of taste.

Since its a candid rather than formal shot I think its fine to throw all the 'rules' out of the window. Whatever the distractions that are percieved as technical wrongdoings don't matter here as its all about the bride and her smile, its so natural and makes the picture perfect :)

Interesting composition here. Looks like natural lighting. It's a little soft in the focus, but still effective.

What I love about this shot is that it's so real. A treasured candid moment. You captured the moment well, but I think it would be a perfect if the groom was facing sideways...more towards her, but then again that's what candids are all about capturing the moment... great job and a wonderful memory.

I'm trying to avoid technical comments like the plague but...well..

I think you could have cropped some off of the top. I like the soft focus...not everything needs to be tack sharp. I kinda wish I could see some of the grooms face. Usually it's nice to see the paired expression and not just the back of a guys head. In all it's a genuine, warm image. well done.
