Checkmate; Darkness for the Kingby fd3rdComment: Nice and crisp, but the line of the board at the back is slightly distracting - it doesn't look quite horizontal. The jaunty angle of the rook only serves to heighten this effect. 7 |

Lost in thought...by ankit0621Comment: A slight rotation anticlockwise to make the candle holder vertical would have helped reduce a minor distraction in an otherwise great shot. |

Black pieces conducted by the shadowsby greslizzzComment: Did you mean to have the focal point so far back? Centring on the rooks and ensuring the white piece was in focus, whilst defocusing the background would have made this more interesting. Also, cropping the left hand side would bring the shadow slightly more into the centre. 6 |
