 I happen to really like these massive powerline towers and the lines they form as they march off into the distance. I realize a lot of people find them annoying, though. But just think - without electricity, there would be no photography, and especially no digital photography, nor an environment in which to share it.

Post processing - this isn't a duotone. It was a very gray morning and I set the WB in RAW to "Shady" - this is what color it became. No crop. No spot editing to remove the airplane. Levels, sharpening (though not too much), brightness/contrast. And discovered that if you do the whole "convert to profile" that Judi told me about, then save for web rather than save as, you lose the history of your editing steps. Will have to rectify that in the future.

Again, I didn't vote in this challenge. And again, I would have gone with a 7 or 8. Beautiful sky. I like the birds hanging out. I wouldn't have noticed the airplane if you didn't mention it. I always wanted to take a picture of these here. There's a spot (but it's on a main highway) where they line up in pairs, one after another for miles. I'm afraid to stop there though.

Way to go on top 20 Deb. I scored this a 7 in challenge. Great lines and angles and wonderful duotones (oops not duotones I see now). Great catch on a cloudy day. Congrats on a 6+ score as well. Nice job.

The tower stands alone against the sky without connection to man or nature. The diagonal generate a certain tension. Acually a very strong image but lacking a strong connnection to the challenge theme

it's good, but the frame lines add to the confulsion of power lines and become distracting...perhaps a simpler frame would have been better...the image is great on the other hand
