Singularby sir_bazzComment: Quite nice. The greens seem a little overblown or something, or at least yellower than I might like, but perhaps that's how they actually were (and actually, the blacks might want a little darkening, too, though there's some glare on my screen at the moment, so perhaps that's my problem). The overall shot is a lovely interpretation of this challenge. Finally, it would be great if you could manage to get that whole front leaf fuly in focus, or at least have the front edge be crisp, even if the back edge falls off. |

I Hate Rainy Daysby FotoMunkiComment: Hmm, the shallow DOF gives a strange effect in this image... I'm not sure I can explain it, but slightly unsettling. (nice, though.) |

Never seen it that way beforeby LokiComment: I'm not certain of this, but I have a hunch that this image would be more eye-grabbing if the pole started left and went back to the right, instead of going back to the right. Otherwise, nice composition. |

Holiday Stemby carpentsComment: Very nice. Interesting bokeh -- it seems different lights created different shapes (and I don't just mean as refracted in the glass). |

Frostingby dphillipsComment: It would be nice if the background here was so out of focus as to not be discernable at all... Then the "frosting" would really pop, I think. (Especially with a little backlighting, I'm thinking, on the crystals but not on the background, such that the background would become dark, or even fully black.) It also might be nice if the convergance of lines was more off-center. |

The Unbornby fotodudeComment: Hmm, even the "in focus" bits look hazy to me... I'm not sure if that's something that happened in post-processing, or what... It does leave me longing for crispness, though, somewhere. The composition is fairly nice. |

Butterfly on leafby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: I like the image, however for this particular challenge, I wish the DOF was even shallower. Actually, I think I wish that anyway, for this shot, as I'd like the red flowers to be more blurred. That said, it's neat that the butterfly itself seems to be pretty much entirely in focus. |

Patienceby TooCoolComment: beautiful capture... bright but not overblown whites, nice composition, just generally a nice shot. |

Awaiting Her Next Feedingby Shan2112Comment: I wish the depth of field for this shot was either wider or narrower... having the very foreground and background portions just barely out of focus seems distracting to me... I think either all in focus or only one bottle (not necessarily the center one) in focus would be less distracting. |
