 My attempt at a last minute effort. Got jacked off attempting this outside as it's pretty windy today.

Moved indoors and shot with help from a mono, a macro lens, a spray bottle full of water, and blue-tac of course.

Gonna get murdered on the scoreboard but I love the update button too much. :)

Quite nice. The greens seem a little overblown or something, or at least yellower than I might like, but perhaps that's how they actually were (and actually, the blacks might want a little darkening, too, though there's some glare on my screen at the moment, so perhaps that's my problem). The overall shot is a lovely interpretation of this challenge. Finally, it would be great if you could manage to get that whole front leaf fuly in focus, or at least have the front edge be crisp, even if the back edge falls off.

the focus is a bit off, could have been on the front half of the front leaf. nice use of white space (the negative black space).

too bad about this being basic editing, because the lighting has definitely given you some issues to deal with. all the same, nice composition, nice effort.

nice...but in truth I don't think this was a good entry to go with a shallow DOF. I really like the drop. And I feel the whole center/right area is more a distraction from an otherwise great capture.
