The Bluebirdby Prof_FateComment: Nice lighting on the bluebird. Framed nicely minus the slightly cut of tail. The tag on his leg ruins it for me a little. Knowing it's not a wild bird. Not too much though. The background is really distracting for me. Would like to see it more out of focus but it already seems that. Maybe a more solid color. I hope that describes it. |

Pretty in Blueby SonifoComment: Don't know if it would have been possible but greater DOF would have helped a touch. The out of focus section of eyelash is a little distracting but not too much. Also a tighter crop would help the composition. On the good side I love the detail in the eye and the soft blur and high key of the surronding skin. Holding enough color in the skin to seperate it from the white part of the eye(name escapes me) and the surronding white seems difficult but you pulled it off nicely. I can't get over that iris. Voted nine but with a tighter crop this would easily be a 10 for me. |

Lonesome by danderson107Comment: Trust me zara-opal. everything is real. The color adjustment wasn't even that drastic. Of course with basic editing you can't have anything too drastic. I had a hell of a time getting that flower where I wanted it. The only thing bugging me is the dust on the vase and the color banding on the vase and background. Took care of all that in the advanced edit version. A little banding left on it but all I could do for it. Thanks everyone. Message edited by author 2005-10-12 04:15:39. |

Windowsby rightsaidfredComment: One of the best architecural shot i've seen. Love the how the left side is very abstract/graphic. The right lets you know it's a building. I wonder if this is the actual color of the building or sunlight. I'm trying to find a nitpick to make this comment useful to you but I'm drawing a blank. 10 and straight to the favorites. |

Complementary drinkby AnandComment: Wonderful idea here. NIce job lighting the glass. A few blown out hightlights but acceptable in my opinion. Shame the blue background is so spotty. That's basic editing for you. The only real complaint I have is the shot seems kind of static. Maybe a more exciting composition. Once again beautiful idea. |

Coconutsby shadowComment: Wonderful tones and great perspective. The blown out sky grabs my attention a little. On the right a little but mainly the bottom by the trunk. The coconut and the trunk compete for attention. Not a bad thing though. The coconut gets more of my focus. Man I can't get over the tones. Great. I'm having trouble finding much wrong with this photo. Nice job. |

stre`am·lineby RikkiComment: If only I could remember who I've seen this shot from before. Too lazy to look it up and doesn't really matter for the pic. I think I like this colored version better than the other I saw before. The green background really makes the red pop. There are a couple hightlights on the red that might be better removed but it might just make it look flat if it was. Worth a look at at least. Does that last sentence make sense? The shadow on the left/bottom adds depth but it also a little distracting. Mainly in the top curve. Excellent composition, great colors, and one of the better abstracts I've seen. I'm very picky on abstracts. This almost seems more graphic than abstract to me though. Hope this isn't too long winded and helps at least a little. |
