 National Aviary GTG with some DPC and FM folks. Ambient light, tripod used, some cropping, USM, neat image, sat and hue on the bird, curves to darken the BG a bit, high pass filter overlay for final sharpening, add border via canvas enlargement, save for web.

Wow... amazing focus and color. I also like the DoF to bring out the bird and the catchlight to make the eye stand out.

Nice lighting on the bluebird. Framed nicely minus the slightly cut of tail. The tag on his leg ruins it for me a little. Knowing it's not a wild bird. Not too much though. The background is really distracting for me. Would like to see it more out of focus but it already seems that. Maybe a more solid color. I hope that describes it.

Beautiful colors and detail. I really like the blur on the background, not overly done and the position of the subject seems like he's moving inot the picture.

A fine blue feathered friend, and an equally fine photo as well.....The irrodesent blue feathers are excellrnt, so textured and so strong. Lovely image.....

Lovely color, almost irridescent. The only change I'd make would be to burn in the back leaf on the left to tone down its brightness and give more attention to the bird.
