Wonderful tones and great perspective. The blown out sky grabs my attention a little. On the right a little but mainly the bottom by the trunk. The coconut and the trunk compete for attention. Not a bad thing though. The coconut gets more of my focus. Man I can't get over the tones. Great. I'm having trouble finding much wrong with this photo. Nice job.

Lovely: the blown highlights give a beautiful feathering around the hard outlines, while the tree itself is full of detail and texture. Nice compostition with the trunk coming out from the corner.

It doesn't really inspire any emotion in me. Maybe I'm just in the wrong mood, but the subject seems ill-defined. I'm not saying the photos should only ever have one subject, but it does seem as if you're trying to do too much. There's the beautiful play of light and dark among the branches, there's the texture of the tree trunk, there's branches your eye follows out only to reach the edge of the frame.

Well done on this one, it was one of my favorites in the challenge and I'm glad it placed highly. You did a great job with the black and whites.

This is one of my favorites. How did you get it to be so eye catching? Great job! I gave it a ten.

this one sets itself apart from the others because iti's a tree i'm not familiar with, and because it's well shot. there are lots of interesting details to admire.

Just a little too over exposed so you and up with a hailo effict that is distracting..

Very nice "Ground Up" entry. The black and white works really well in my opinion. some might comment about the brighter white areas, but I like those balanced against the tree. The black border keeps it all nicely framed too.

Great detailing. The sky is a tad blown out, but I like the black and white filter.
