Men at Workby eloiseComment: A little too dark. Picture cropped too small. Other than that this meets the cahllenge, has good focus, and is somewhat interesting. I'll give you a 6. Bob |

Off-Centred Chairby DavidLevinComment: This image meets the challenge as the chair is off center. I do find what I consider to be flaws with this image thoough. There appears to be a large amount of lens flare around the door handles. Use of a lens hood may have negated that effect. If the chair is meant to be the subject of the composition it needs to be brought into better focus. The reflection from the front leg of the chair is also distracting. I believe better control of your lighting would have helped this photograph. The elements you have attempted to combine as a composition and the choice of lighting situations make creating a photograph with impact difficult to accomplish to say the least. I must give you a 4 for thi challenge. RLS |

Jammin'by jmsetzlerComment: The placement of the subject in this photograph meets the challenge as the musician is off center. The total blur effect, which I believe to be purposely used, in this photograph confuses me when I look at this photograph. I would like to suggest next time you attempt to capture most of the image in focus while using the hands strumming the instrument to show the movement blur. This would have had a better impact for me. I must give you a 4 for this effort. RLS |

Cellar Still Lifeby sylandrixComment: This is my favorite image of the challenge. The selection of props and location is impeccable. Your command over the use of light makes this photograph outstanding. The shadows seem perfect and the highlights outstanding.Without proper placement and use of light the delicate detail within the shadows and highlights could easily be lost. You have managed to not only preserve this detail but to use it to your advantage through the placement of the props. The combinations of hues and objects fit like a hand in a glove. Not many photographers understand how to assemble proper props to create a still life with impact but you have displayed great command of that skill with this image. Congratulations on your submission - 10 - RLS |

Menacing elegance by jjbeguinComment: This is a well done photograph. It meets the challenge as the subject is a tad off center which greatly enhances the composition. The colors are vivid, the focus and DOF are very good for a macro. The background is very black without noticible flaws. This is difficult to attain but is a must due to the deep DOF necessary to make this photograph work. Conratulations on a job wonderful image. - 10 - RLS |

John³by jmsetzlerComment: Art imitates or life been there done that. RLS - 8 - Blemish on right leg is distracting and shadows on right foot too dark for my taste cause minor loss of detail. (Sidenote - smoking is bad for your health). |
