Great concept for a portrait ! It's certainly a different angle and one that I like very much. The background equally contributes, along with this viewpoint, and your appearance to the impression I get of you as being unique, intelligent, artistic, creative, a man with vision, connected with nature, wild and a very "colorful" person, indeed. Exposure and focus are very sharp. Contrast is excellent and really helps to make you stand out. Colors are rich and vibrant. Outstanding work! |

Lines of the plant looks great but the colour of your shirt that make the frame inbalance in somehow. Try b/w? Or does that would make the curve that you intent to put above blend into the background? |

I'm not seeing a grin, but the plants and specs are definitely there. I love the composition on this one - the way you've framed yourself with the plant. |

this is one excellent self-portrait! i especially love how the dynamics of your hair "repeats" the lines of the plant in front of the ivy... i am in the middle of voting, and it's my favorite so far... that would be a ten (10)...on a side note, i hope that in your remarks you explain what kind of plant it is, or maybe you could pm me, i am interested in growing it at home... thankyouverymuch! irina.

Those are the greatest glasses! So Thomas Dolby!! And you framed yourself well within this space. Nice work! |

I like your choice of setting, how your hair mimics the plants next to you. Or how the plants are mimicing your hair, whichever you prefer. :) |

Don't know why you call it a "grin" in your title since you look so serious ;-), but the intensity of the color in your shirt contrasting with the more muted earth tones of the plants and ground and the way the plant wraps around you framing your body anf head drew me to the photo and, so far at least, I like this best. Also appreciate the shifting light with the dark shadows behind you. A very human and balanced picture that feels uncontrived. |

Great color and contrast. Maybe should have cropped out about 1 inch off of the right side. |

Very sharp indeed. Not sure about the sunglasses - I seem to be unable to attribute part of your personality to them. |
