Dare to be different.by CWelchComment: Nice use of dof in this shot. I'm not sure what the red and green are doing here. I think it would have a better affect if the entire kernel was a different color, rather than just some specs. The composition is nicely done though. |

Popcorn Fireworksby zclareComment: This is an interesting idea, nicely done. I wish there wasn't so much wasted space at top though. I like that the popcorn kernels are different colors, but usually with fireworks there is some kind of pattern to things, the colors here just look random. I really like the trails though. |

Popcorn Portraitby FairyWingsComment: This picture is too symmetrical to me, even the lone pieces in front are almost symmetrical. Try a different angle, or moving the bowl to a third, or something else to get a more interesting pov. Too much symmetry, usually doesn't work well. I really like the nice simple, contrasting, background. And I think the reflection off the able is nice. |

Checkers anyone?by treyvusComment: The lighting here is too harsh. It is especially obvious because of the shadows formed by the flash. Try to use the natural lighting instead, if it is too dark do it at a different time of day with non-direct sunlight coming in from one of the sides. Another way to avoid the shadows is to have everything further away from the wall, so the shadows fall lower and they don't show up in the picture. Also, the checker board really blends in with the table. Try not to have so much wasted space at the top either. |

door to the pastby alexgarciaComment: This is my favorite old building style shot so far. I like how the handle isn't even on right, and the colors in the door are really nice. Try coming at this from an angle rather than the straight on shot and see if it adds interest. |

still comingby tnunComment: Now that is an old trailer. I think you captured the theme really well, but it just isn't an interesting subject to me. |

scars and laces.by andrewreinerComment: There it is, the first old shoe shot, I have been waiting for this. Nicely done here, especially with the conversion. I think it would be nice to see the whole shoe though, rather than cutting out the toe, and the other side of it. I think this is an overall nice shot. |

Season's Overby glad2badadComment: I really like this shot, nice and simple, I don't need the title's help to know it fits in the theme, and the background is a great match with the ball. This is a nice change to a lot of the pictures I have been seeing. |

The Old Man in the Old Galleryby shoggyComment: This picture leads me to the ceiling, I don't miss the gallery, and if you didn't tell me I was supposed to be looking for a man, I wouldn't have even seen him. If you want the gallery to be the subject, make it the subject. |
