OK, it looks like an illegal filter, however, I shall assume otherwise because it's still here. This is quite superb all said and done, and regardless of how it was achieved, it's still a first class artistic shot. There is a lot of emotion and even though the reflection in the eye itself is undefined, this shot still works – and very well. Good shooting (10)

Sad image; but the shot works really well. The colours and lines, DOF and sharpness all work really well together with the exception of the much darker lower portion of the shot; this adds a little to much subliminal conflict for my liking; I'd have cropped that section personally. Apart from that, the shot is well balanced and interesting. (7)

Inventive, great use of neutral colour, superb composition; this is a terrific shot. The real winner for me is the way that you've handled the focus on the switch and reflection – it works so well because of it's simplicity – so often, less is bestâ€Â¦ (10) Great shootingâ€Â¦

I really like the use of colour in the shot and the unfathomable reflection in the bulb works really well. Composition is great and the feeling of atrophy flows from the image. The dramatic dullness adds to the feeling of the inevitability of decayâ€Â¦ Depressing, but it works photographicallyâ€Â¦ (9)

Weird, the symmetry works quite well to a point. The shot is almost entirely made up of dramatic diagonals with the exception of the bottom right third area, where there is an area of parallels. This adds an element of unwanted conflict – in my opinion – that draws the eye away from the overall effect of the patterns. For me, the effect damages the shot at a subliminal level - this may also make others vote it down but be unsure why they didn't like the shotâ€Â¦ The idea itself is solid, but the outcome is somewhat uncontrollableâ€Â¦ (4)

Coolâ€Â¦ Great shot, weird but wonderfulâ€Â¦ The only gripe I have relates to the extreme top corners. I know this is a tiny area, but it is does drag the eye away. The corners are incongruous to the rest of the image, and although tiny, cropping them, in my opinion, would have enhanced what is otherwise a perfect picture. (9) Great shootingâ€Â¦

Macabre but outstandingâ€Â¦ This is a superbly composed and dramatically lit shot. The reflection is subtle and hard to make out until you see what it is – then it becomes obvious. This is one of those shots that grabs you by the neck and drags you inâ€Â¦ Brilliant photography (10)
