Thanks for your comments!
It's strange - I just wanted to check out, how it works, to do something very different... it does, to some degree! Had also this objects in water and objects in buildings and buildings in buildings photos, maybe they would have got a better score, but I liked this one very much... so I wanted to know, what you're thinking about... so, thanks for the comments...

The picture is nice but lacks drama.

Weird, the symmetry works quite well to a point. The shot is almost entirely made up of dramatic diagonals with the exception of the bottom right third area, where there is an area of parallels. This adds an element of unwanted conflict – in my opinion – that draws the eye away from the overall effect of the patterns. For me, the effect damages the shot at a subliminal level - this may also make others vote it down but be unsure why they didn't like the shotâ€Â¦ The idea itself is solid, but the outcome is somewhat uncontrollableâ€Â¦ (4)

Cool image, but a kaleidoscope uses mirrors.

I have never seen a kaleidoscope that uses crystals, could you tell me more about it, I love them.
Moved up to one of my top ten picks. daysez

Is this truly made with a kaleidoscope? I'll assume that mirrors weren't used, for scoring purposes... I was trying this same idea with different objects, but couldn't get it to work as well as you did. I think you did a great job of capturing reflections, albeit an abstract. Nice colors... might be just a hair soft though? I would like to see an image like this crystal clear. Overall - 6 - JB

Kaleidoscopes do use mirrors.

I've had this same idea, but don't have a kaleidascope, and haven't picked one up. Nice to see how it'll turn out if I ever do get a hold of one, and I'll give you a good score!!

Technically, these are refractions, but I like it anyway. Great color! Good job of focusing. Looks like your crystal has some chips. 9 Swash
