 Thanks everyone. I'm blown away by the positive reactions and kind words from the membership. Yes it was totally candid. I was walking around Green Lake and past this guy. I snuck around a tree about 30 feet away to catch him exhale the smoke from his cigar. Sometimes you just get lucky.

Just seen this, it is wonderful, love it. Great use of B&W, nice tones, contrast and bokeh. Added to fav's.

Maybe he was thinking over that cross-cultural, opposites and exotics attract, long distance relationship... I checked your portfolio after reading your wise advice to young spiritualspatula... Very nice photo too.

This is so awesome! Wonder what it is about cigarettes/cigars and smoke that makes a photo so dramatic and interesting. But it sure does. Congratulations on 2nd place!

Great shot, interesting background (looks like the set from the Wizard of Oz) and subject. Great use of selective focus and B&W. Perhaps my favorite.
