 That’s a good start for the New Year and awesome surprise to find out that my pic is scoring 7+.

I don't get it.

This is simple.

It tells a story, with an element of humor.

It is fairly unremarkable in WOW factor.

It has almost no extraneous post-processing to speak of.

It is unassuming.

It is, quite frankly, the opposite of everything that DPC has come to stand for.

And yet here it is with a Blue Ribbon.

Can it be that DPC voters actually got it RIGHT for a change?

Though I agree with Gatorguy that the red above is bright, I have to say from a pure art standpoint it is important that the red above stay there. If you have a particular color in a piece of art you want it to appear (ideally) three times. That you did, my friend with the top color the hat and the spots on the shoes.
