This is Kari Ann, greetings from the Critique Club:
composition: a very balanced image, the man and dog compliment each other to a T.
color:black and white was the way to go with this image, i am so glad you chose it. It adds such a dramatic narrative to the image, almost as if it never existed at all
contrast: the way you handled all the unique shadows and highlights is amazing. nothing is lost in shadow, yet nothing is overexposed.brilliant.
focus: nice and sharp, able to decipher all the detail
depth of field:being able to see all the way back in the courtyard behind makes this image even more mysterious and looming
lighting: the harsh lighting was controlled wonderfully in this image, as i stated before, its really an acheivement to capture this kind of light.
other: i wish this would have scored higher, but this is one of those gems that people underrate without taking a moment to really sink their teeth into the image, really processing what is going on, and how awesome it is. I hope your glad how this came out, its a real beautiful shot. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me anytime.

Brilliant. A marvel of variety of shapes and forms extraordinarily knit together; and the dog blessing a celebration. |

Completely underrated. This is one of those perfect juxtaposition moments when everything lines up and you couldn't ask for a better scene in front of you to unfold. Glad you were there so I could see it to. This is what I love about photography. |

This is a weirdly compelling photograph. In spite of the pissing dog and the silver man apparently adding a few shiny drops of his own, and in spite of the indifferent man in the sunglasses, I think this is about the lions. Life is where you are, and this is their life ... being pissed on and ignored at the same time. No wonder they look so bleakly acquiescent. |

That guy should be watching the dog. (He may be next)
:)
Nice capture.

These look like Assyrian Lions to me so I'm gonna guess this might be Tareq's work. The focus is very sharp with lots going on here! |

Highly amusing if a bit strange. Interesting the dog and the man are given equal weight and presence. Course, the dog is infinitely more interesting in posture. Both are looking the same way, and ignoring the man in the middle - that tells me something more interesting is off camera. Even the lions look there. You must tell me a story now to explain their interest. ;) 10 |

it looks so random at first, but the more you look at it, the perfection of it just grows and grows... everyone looking in the same direction... perfect symmetry, a shadow on one side & reflected light on the other... the dog in his moment of evacuation... the man whose head was a pillar...

Quite nice candid, but there's a bit too much going on. |

intriguing mystery figure means I almost missed the nonchalant hound. ( I think those two figures would make the picture by themselves, which makes the seated chap a bit of an intrusion - just sharing my thoughts - good luck

Very powerful image. Great isolation. May be too sad to place well, but I hope it makes the top 10. |

A lot of very interesting themes, images and characters come together here to form a very unusual and striking composition of life. Very nice processing with excellent detail, contrast and texture. 9 |
