This is Storm, he is a red tailed hawk. This was taken at the Denver Zoo. One of the keepers had him out enjoying the sun.
No, it's not a museum display, but he was right next door, at the zoo.
CS3 edits; smart sharpen, curves, contrast, saturation +25, resize, add border, and save.

No crop, I just went for a center composition.

Focus point was on the eye. However I did use my crappy Sigma 70-300mm. While at the zoo I wanted the extra 100mm.

| dont like the crop - a rule of thirds crop to put the eye off center would really help this one. sharp and great tonality. |

| Some beautiful bokeh here and a nice head shot of the bird. It doesn't seem crisp or sharp enough though... I think the focus got caught on the beak and eye - which I suppose is not a majorly bad thing - they're major points of contact. |
