meets the challenge - yes technical - shallow DOF, focus seems to be behind the cigarette butt composition / appeal / would i hang it on the wall - wouldn't hang it on the wall. cigarette butt is too centered, overall subject not appealing (i know, it's garbage, but anyway ....). gr8photos |

I would have prefered this with a bit more focus. The butt stands out well on the background, and your framing/cropping are great. Lighting cinditions are favorable for the shot. Definately garbage, but creativity is a little low. Overall an average shot. Good luck in the challenge. ~hbunch7187~ |

Out of focus, distracting foreground, poor composition. Sorry, but I can't score this very highly. |

It might have been more effective if something had been in focus, everything appears fuzzy. Composition is pretty good. The triangular shape at the front seems distracting, however. |

It's a bit out of focus...your subject is too centered...and the object on the bottom is distracting...sorry :( 3 |

Seems to be focused behind the subject? A bit plain for my tastes. |

nice macro, thingie in the foregrounds a little distracting. hard to shoot a subject in the middle of a field, leaves a lot of dead space around the edges of the rectangle. find a cigarette butt in a corner, or near a curb, so there are more lines involved in the background. |

Good idea. I think if the cigarette was a bit sharper and less centered, it would have more impact. |

main subject is not quite in focus.. remember the rule of thirs when taking shots, it can help you composition 100%.. 4 |
