So close! Well done Andi, I'm really pleased you stepped out of your 'comfort zone' and approached the Golf Club to help you with this shot :o) I won't even try to offer you a critique as you've done far better than I ever could! Congrats on giving Falc a good run for his money too :o) XxX |

Congrats. You almost beat Falc! The masking isn't too bad but I wonder how you resized it. I find that using bicubic smoother is better for downsizing if there is a lot of thin lines you want to preserve like that golf club shaft as it doesn't make the lines so pixelated. Or better yet use both bicubic sharper and smoother and then mask the two together so that you get the best of both worlds. Anyway just a thought. |

scalvert: I told you there'd be golf swings if you used that as an example. Now I can't DQ this.
GeneralE: that's too bad. It might even rob you of your ribbon.
scalvert: why are you grinning??
Okay, I'm giving out two yellow ribbons to photos that will probably ribbon anyway, but they're just too cool for me to pass them by.

What fantastic colours! The time-lapse treatment of the golfer actually detracts from the general scene I find ;) |

This ought to come in pretty high. The edges around the figure and clubs look a little oversharp, though. |

We should have a standard way to comment on these things, maybe there is but I don't know about it, so my feedback is:
Shot Originality: 5
Meets Challenge "theme": 10
Composition: 7
Exposure/Post processing: 3 (blown out sky and seems slightly oversharpened and pretty heavy on saturation)
Title originality/appropriateness: 5
Avg: 6
Score: 6
my two cents. hope this is helpful. |

It's an odd place to tee up a ball, but other than that your picture is great and illustrates time lapse perfectly. Pretty good looking swing too!
After seeing a Wii commercial tonight...I msut say your processing resembles theirs. Looks similar to eyewave's picture with a map from a few months ago. |

You should sell this to a bar at a golf course. Just clone out the ball on the tee. |

The sky is absolutely gorgeous in this shot. I had to double-take to see that the ball was actually hit off the tee...WOW!!! |

Neon green that looks more poisonous than organic. I'm guessing over saturated. I think you've done the masking and erasing well, but it wasn't easy. |

My first thought was cool golfing shot, especially with the sky. But then I saw two balls in the frame and that kind of ruined it for me. The Sun over the horizon is a bit of a distraction as well. Looking at the image in general, I have to wonder why someone is teeing off right next to the green. In the end I think it is a cool shot that is just troubled by some minor details. 6. |

Surprised I haven't seen more of these golfer shots. Good job on the golfer. The nauseatingly over-saturated colors in the shot really make it look amateurish though. |

great action sequence, but the colors are overdone in my opinion. Also it doesn't look like he is teeing up from a tee box, but just off the green. |

I can personally say that this shot is almost impossible to do in one motion if the guy is taking a real swing... Good luck getting verification, or lucky you for having an expensive cam. |
