 Well this was sure interesting... with the new rules, I don't think anyone knows what to expect. This plus the first week of the "League of Death" - I'm guessing there will be a TON of stellar images.

My wife and I got onto North Shore GCC after dark (with permission of course), and played around with a bunch of flashes to get the right look. This is pretty much bang-on for what I was looking for.

Would've been nice to be able to use more frames (can't believe I just said that) to get a more sweeping look. Used the full 10 frame max.

Lit with 2 remote flashes. We got this in the middle of the fairway, so as to not get any lights from the surrounding houses. There is absolutely nothing knocked out of the background (that's the beauty of short flash throws in wide, dark spaces).

Shot from about 2 inches off of the ground (cool tripod) at 10mm. I composed everything, got it all set up, and my wife hit the remote trigger.

convert from RAW
merged in CS3
masked the body for the most part except for the key frame
kept the hands & club (obviously) for all frames
levels
color/hue change to green up the grass
crop
cloned out 2 weird lights/reflections off to the side
cloned some very minor grass defects (a few blades)
rotate
resize
usm
sfw

Definitely learned a LOT on this one.
Love the new 720px rule !!! :O)

Intense! I like it. How did you get the legs so perfectly still with all that movement? I am new at time lapse (as you can probably guess). Stunning image 9

i can definitely tell it's time lapse. great shot. i wonder about the fact that the bottom half of the body and head doesn't show any position change over time like the arms and club, which seems a little bit awkward. i love the perspective of the club as it reaches the front and you can see how wide it is.

This had to have been a pain to do. You did a great job blendind all of those frames to show the full swing. My only complaint in the photo sis the ball. What happened to the ball? I looks like a partial moon. Still a great job and worth a 9.

Nice one. I assume this is actually a long exposure using a strobing technique, in which case it is technically DNMC according to the challenge details - hehehe. But i'm not voting on that: might have kept the ball solid, it seems a bit strange in its semi transparentness. Still a high scorer tho.
