 It is the bottom of a votive candle holder... the top can be seen at . Taken with the 50mm 1.8 and a reversing ring. Levels, color adjustments, contrast, resize, usm, save for web.

Post challenge:
It really is pretty inflexible..hence the title. I guess everyone figured I was trying to trick them? The faint silver shape in the background is a heart that is attached to the metal as decoration.

Well I was going to guess a spring but I have to think it is a bit more than just that, I've seen memo holders similar to this so maybe. I love the depth of field and colors. You've kept it simple but also not boring to look at. Well done.

A spring? Nice shallow DOF brings out the point of it as shiny steel, and the rest as a dull white. Good curves and background.
