Tim, this is an excellent photo. I really hoped to see this one do better overall. The image has a nice 'plot' and it just feels good :) Excellent work as usual. |

This has a great human interest angle. It's not original, but bah, doesnt always matter. The tones are good, dof is good, lighting is just a tad too bright on his hand, but not distractingly so. Nice shot. |

I like this shot a lot! One thing though in my opinion, I would crop the chin out. Not having any of the face puts the focus more on the boy! |

Beautiful work. The lighting here is incredible. This gets high marks from me all the way around. Technically perfect, very artistic and it tells a story. 10 |

A little staged and hokey for my taste. The B & W works well, though. |

i like your idea. i think i lower perspective looking up at the cop, would look really good, as well as create a sence of what the kid's perspective is. |

Nicely takin photo, very clean! You should offer this to the local police department for an advertising photo or something! 8 |

Would make for a great ad for law enforcement. Contrast is very good. Kind of tells a story. Definitely should try to submit for a poster or ad campaign. |

Good photo. It does a good job at communicating the helping hand message. I might have chosen to crop the top just a little bit lower, but other than that it is a very good photo. I also like the B&W toning of this and the chosen aperture helps to clear out the background and focusses all the attention on the foreground. 8 |

It an interesting idea, but this photo seems to have been sapped of all the potential emotion that is present. To some extent I think we fill in the gaps naturally, assuming the awe of the boy and the tender smile of the officer, but you've cut that all out of the shot. The boy is completley passive in this shot, and the officer's hand carries a little bit of expression, but other than that the figures in this shot are cold and unemotional, which certainly couldn't have been the intention. I think including the officer's face isn't necessary, since having it cut off adds to the feeling that he is larger than life in the eyes of the child, but perhaps a side angle that showed the kids face or at least some pose with more expression to it would make this a much better shot. |

Interesting composition. I'm not sure about cutting the head of the office. He could have been separated from the child, visually, by using a narrow depth of field. Great lighting. |

Nice black and white, great tones throughout. Did you shot it in black and white or convert later in PS? I am not sure if I like the crop or not, it is a bit odd, maybe none of his face at all would have been better. Still like it, it shows a human story even if it's staged ;) |

Great capture. I think I would have liked it even better if it were cropped either to either bring in the entire face of the officer or just above the elbow. Nice feeling to this one. |

I absolutely love this picture....BUT.....I'm not sure why you cut the officer's head off....then again....I'm not a photography expert by any means. With that said, it deserves a 9. :) |

The tones, light and focus here are stunning. I would of liked to see the officers head. However....it leaves the viewer wanting more. That's a good thing. Really nice, photo journalistic.......Norman Rockwell. Congrats, great moment in time. |
