First I thought "Oh no, not another baby photo" but then I saw that it's the whole scene and the gesture of the father you wanted to portray. The sunset and the frotal lighting are beautiful and it really adds to the photo. The photo transports a warm and good mood. It wouldn't be necessary to have such an almost over-explaining title. The photo works on it's own.

| I really don't like to see the challenge name as part of the title... Use your imagination, get out your thesaurus... Not a bad sillouette though, and I like the color of the sky. Gives you a nice sense of "loving and family" |

| I love it...one of my few 10's....After reviewing all the submissions I've concluded that this is my favorite. Even in the silhouette it is evident that this Daddy is smiling at his new child. The choice of silhouette is perfect, and this is a very strong image. The coloring is fantastic too. My # 1 choice...I hope you win. Grayce...aka...gracious |

| Wonderfulâ€Â¦ I love it. The colour in the sky is breathtaking. For me, the pose says it all; I didn't need to look at the title, the picture just leapt out without trying. It's a great idea and meets the challenge with ease. The use of a foreground silhouette rather than battling with fill flash is a stroke of genius and makes this picture original and spontaneous and gives it a stand out from the rest qualityâ€Â¦ Really great pictureâ€Â¦ (10++ and possible winner?) | Each contest i only give out one 10, to my absolute favorite, and this contest you're it! I just love something about this photo. The background is stunning, it screams new, and i like how the baby is looking at the camera. Great job! |

| Using a baby for "something new" is not very original, but this is creative, I like the shot, and the lighting. It would've been a little better to have had the baby looking at the man instead of the camera. 8 |

I love the color in this. I like the title, but think that it would have more impact if the baby didn't appear to be looking away from the Dad (due to the fact that it looks like we can see both ears. I could be wrong, it could be a nose and a tuft of hair in the back, but I'm pretty sure it's ears) Also, I think it would be really cool if you could have gotten the entire picture in silouette. Inability to do that though is understandable with lack of time due to the sun going down and Daddy's arms getting tired of holding that baby over his head. :) Maybe long pants and dark socks would have helped a bit. Also, children can be uncooperative at times.
Anyway, I really love this photo, and I think you have the right idea. Wish we had sunsets like that here. Congrats on the great photo and good luck.
