Greetings from the Critique Club
You have a charming image that scored exceptionally well in the Fantasy Challenge. It certainly is one you can be proud of and if there wasn't such fierce competition, you would probably have another ribbon on your Profile Page.
So, I'm going to end my "critique" here and go on to the next person on our very long list.
My best wishes for your continued success in DPC.

congratulations on a strong finish and your highest scoring image to date! after a closer inspection, it looks like the parts of her face (eyebrows and mouth) that conveyed sadness to me only looked like they did because of the motion blur - I was reading the downward-to-the-left dark lines as a frown or pout. weird. So I wasn't a big fan of that, but the tree is really great. The smoothly varied tones and the rich texture are really beautiful. I hope to see more from you in the future. |

People might complain that the fairy is a bit blurred but I'm guessing that that was your intention? The blurriness actually helps enhance the photograph. The dark area (shadow?) across the top kind of threw me off, but it's not too bad. Congratulations on picking a cute model and shooting a lovely picture! |

IMHO this would have been better if she was in full focus. |

Finally! An image that really says "Fantasy". I was beginning to wonder if I was really voting in the "Fantasy" challenge.
I really like this, would have liked to have seen a slight dreamy blur applied to the whole image - the starkness of the foreground trees detracts slightly for me, nevertheless, the trees are a very intriguing element in the shot, and I love the sharp angle of the large tree - it creates unexpected visual interest. Very cool. |

Wonderful picture. Love how that tree frames the subject and she is just a tad oof. Thats how I usually picture them in my head. Well done! |

I love this shot, the small degree of movement on the fairy gives the perception that she is moving quickly through the forest. I also like the slight blur you have added to some of the background tree roots. The whole image is quite magical and I will be disappointed if it doesn't get a ribbon. Good luck 10. |

I really like this photo...... the crisp focus of the tree makes a good contrast to the soft focus of the fairy, making her look even more ethereal. The purple of her dress makes the photo very eye catching |

Is that a banyan tree? I love those.
I like the framing here a lot in fact I really like the overall look of the image with one (fairly major) exception... the blured girl. That is just not working for me. I think I get what you were going for... trying to portray getting a quick fleeting glimpse of a fairy in the forest... however it just looks like a blurry kid in a princess costume. |

Very cute - nicely done! Love the color contrast, large tree, DOF - the blur works as well. Great shot! |

This is just the subject and approach that I had planned, but then withdrew, so I admire this all the more. Great framing, and effective burning. Cute model. I wish the focus was more strongly on her, instead of on the foreground frame. But, very nice.... |
