 i didn't quite capture my vision here, but hope you like my effort.

i laid a glass on a mirror, put some potting soil in it, and positioned part of the flower stalk in the dirt, and against the top of edge of the glass. i then hung the flower head from string and got it to line up with the stalk on the other side of the glass. tricky.
lit by a 550ex under the mirror, and a couple floods behind a diffuser to highlight flower head.

I love the use of blue in this photo the soil really looks like it is in the glass. Very good optical illusion.

This is really cool, to say the least. Very creative.
The only thing that bothers me is that smudge on the base of the glass.

Very nice capture. The noly thing I could think to better this image would be to clean up the glue(?) that is holding the glass in place. Perhaps some artful use of cloning?

aha! I think I get it. Dirt in the glass, flower placed behind... false perspective! I like it. This looks soupy to me (soup is good - think Campbells - mmm, mmm)
