Having fun going through your portfolio. I wasn't a member during this one. What a smashing perspective. Nothing expected about this one. Well staged and executed. The title tops it off perfectly.

Terrific photo....great choices of color. Fantastic lighting...I would've given this a 10 in the challenge had I been a member of DPC when this was entered...good job!

Sonja,

This is a very nice photograph. The lighting appears to be very effective. The props are good and help this photo meet the challenge.

You have taken a common shot and transfigured it into a piece of art. Your perspective in which you have captured this moment has made an ordinary photograph outstanding.

I agree with other DPCers that say there are too many flower shots being taken for the challenges. If all of the flower shooters employed the originality of this image it would be a joy rather than a task to review them.

This is my favorite of the challenge and I am at a loss as to how 5 to 16 folks feel this an inferior shot...

Keep up the good work, and good luck in the future challenges.

Nice composition. I think the top purple tulip is a bit too close to the border. A little more breathing room might have helped. Maybe a bit less border. Good lighting and colors. Very nice photo. 8 md

Are they camera shy? :) I like the colors here - the shadow is almost completely gone, nice job. The inside part of the border doesn't help it. 10 anyways. Good luck!

Very nice shot; colors are very nice, and I particularly like the perspective. However, in my opinion, the border is definitely too overpowering.

I really enjoy the unusual perspective and creative use of color. The lighting and exposure and very good. Composition is nicely done as well, though a little tightly cropped around the top flower and at the bottome of the vase. Overall, a very successful image! Well done...~Renee

I really like the ange you shot at. It's not the usual straight on shot. And I think the purple vase compliments the tulips well. I don't like the thick border. It seems to heavy for such a delicate photo.

I love the placement of the subject and the white background. It is an appealing photo, and the lighting is great. Only detraction for me is the wide border, but that is a matter of preference. Good job!

A really good entry. I love the graphic touch of this one and the unusual angle/composition. Very well done. You managed to capture great delicates tones.
But I HATE your border, it totally distracts from the picture! And it's toot close from the top and bottom! You should definitely give more white space around the flowers! This is really too bad.
OK I will only give you a 9... :)
