this is a really good photo.

only thought is that i would've made the bike more contrasted from the rest of the picture, all dark.

the title also makes me think that the bike is going to propel itself right into that body of water, which made me giggle after enjoying the initial beauty of the photo.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

I concur with all of the compliments below!

In this image, my attention immediately goes to the lovely colors of the sunset. But then there's something in my way--the bike! It gets marvelous focus there, and I like the fact that it is in sillhouette. The composition uses the rules of thirds nicely, adding interest and reminding us that the bike, though important, isn't so important that it should get all of the focus. The horizon line is also well placed, giving the sky preeminence, but also letting the water add some say, too. The mood is peaceful and view stunning.

Your image really captures the essence of "bike-ness" very well. It reminds us that biking is soothing, calm, and that great things can be seen when on a bike.

I can't think of any improvements. Sorry. Maybe the bikes' silhouette should be sharper?

I think this photo does what it sets out to do: show us not only a bike, but the pleasures of bike riding as well.

Nice job!

David

Great color! The spot light on the right is a bit distracting but no big deal.

Nice sunset. Good concept of the shot. I'd have used the bike to frame the shot more than this. This is not really framing so much as blocking. I hope you got some nice shots of the sunset without the bike in it too. Its gorgeous.

nice sunset. the bike seems to be in a strange or unnatural position (like its a great sunset, i'll stick a bike in it). it would have been more powerful to have the sunset offset by a silhouette of someone biking by.

very interesting take on the challenge. I like the sunset and usiing the handle bars of the bike, i think it can be a bit better if you got more of the bike in the image. Good work

Okay, I saw this as a thumbnail and thought it looked cool and I was right. Nice use of a border and I like your outline. The sunset and water are gorgeous. What is the orange pot on the right? Nice photo.

its a nice picture. but the lake and sunset shouldn't be in this picture. A road or some sort of trail would be a more appropriate background.

This is a very nice sunset, but the bike seems a little out of place. I see a connection between the environmental aspects here (bikes don't pollute). Maybe more of the bike in the frame would help make the connection stronger.
