The Dukeby lucky_85Comment: The colour through this is great. The reds through the bricks against the blue does contrast well, and the statue does stand out well against the sky.........The angle does ensure that his name is also a main part of the image, which helps us identify him, rather than it being just another horse statue.
Colour noise though is apparent in the upper area of the image which needs some attention. The image is very centered and the crop is pretty tight.
But a good image and amoung the better entries I have seen. |

Ghost Bike at Double Eagleby rajronComment: Great subject........something different and thats a good thing. The processing you have done on this does work really well, but maybe a little darker (make the bike stand out a little more against the scrub) could have worked.
The crop and angle though is interesting, and I wonder why you chose it. I understand that you wish to keep the road in the image (and I would as well) but moving around a little more (to the right if possible) could have improved this.........The crop is way too close to the edge of the bike, so moving around could have kept the road in the image, and the bike away from the image edge........also, a lower view could have made the bike larger against the rest of the photo, really emphasising the bike, making it large..........
But still, one of the better images in the challenge, an interesting subject and some good processing |

Gateway to the West by Anthony_D_ArcherComment: I don't know what this is, but it does look really interesting. Reflections here are great which makes this one of the standouts in this challenge. Colour is also very interesting as well, which helps to make it interesting. The centred composition maybe is not great, but I note that to the right is nothing to help (but does border the image well......)
Not exactly what I was expecting from this challenge, but it is well done and the results are great.
Great time to photograph it, and great reflections.........Well done. |

Who's against universal healthcare?by skewsmeComment: The image here does not meet the challenge imo, and not a Stock - medicine image
Even ignoring that, there are artifacts through the image, the leaves in the top are a distraction, and the bird is underexposed so just a black blob.......
Sorry, but thats an honest assessment |

Sisters Playing Doctorby JustCareeComment: Cannot see the 'Stock' qualities of this image. If the challenge was just 'Medicine' then it may be closer to the challenge topic.
The B&W processing here I am not sure works. I think this image needed colour in it. The image has way to much of a 'grey' feel, with much of the image being a very similar grey......I don't think this helps the image. |

Bloodborneby mefnjComment: Brilliant.......Stands out from the crowd because of the quality here.
Composition, Lighting, crop, presentation are all exceptional. Clean sharp image..........fits the topic.......and the attention to detail here (drop on the end of needle, shaddow as well) are just brilliant. |

Fallout...by LeoComment: The curved earth effect here is great. You have turned it into a feature of the photograph, where normally that level of distorsion is seen as a negative.....well done there.
However, the centre of the image does not line up with the high point, so I presume you have cropped more out from the right than the left. This is creating a tilted feel.
Also, the sky being so blown out with the sun is an unfortunate element of the image |

Fire & Iceby RianBotesComment: Great image. Great colour through the sky.....Would have liked more of it to be visible. I would really like to see more of the view, especially to the right side, as there looks to be more areas of interest to that side........The contrast between the snow and the sky are great........ |

desolateby jsadlekComment: Princes Pier, Melbourne.........Is that what they have done to it at the moment........I thought that area up to the old Gatehouse was meant to still be covered, and only the end 2/3 being just the piles.
Last time I was there, it wass still surrounded by barriers
Love the effect you have created here, but think you might suffer with people taking more literal interpretations of the topic............ |
