Chapter IV: A new hope.by cimarron98Comment: Erm...shouldn't that be EPISODE IV? Anyway, interesting shot. I like the texture of the sidewalk contrasting the smoothness of the little boy's skin. The shadows seem a little dark, washing out the details, particularly on his face, but it could be my monitor (which can't be fixed), but I like how the child's is the only face we see(kind of reminds me of The Peanuts cartoons in that respect) and how they're all facing in the opposite direction. Nice perspective. It's just too bad he's not wearing a Star Wars shirt to go with your title. ;-) |

Princess by SonifoComment: Absolutely perfect. Even with just the thumbnail, I could tell this was an extraordinary composition. I love the soft pastels and the grey backdrop is the perfect balance to her silver wand. This little girl is an angel and you captured it perfectly. I'll be very surprised if this doesn't ribbon. Good luck! |

Dreamby AleciaComment: This is true artistry. Your model has beautiful features that your technique has really made the most of. The colored roses (I think they're roses) are just the right touch, not distracting from her face at all, but rather enhancing the overall beauty of the portrait. It wouldn't be the same without them or if they were in black&white. I like it a lot. |

Dressageby agwrightComment: I like this image very very much but I don't think it is really enhanced by the use of selective desaturation. With the rider wearing black and white, she blends too much into the background instead of standing out with her horse. That being said, the compostion is great, I love your cropping, and the depth of field is nicely used. I think this would be stunning in color, if the grass is as green as it seems it might be. |

Outside in by geewhyComment: This is a great example of where, without selective desaturation, you wouldn't come anywhere near this kind of effectiveness. It tells a story. Gives a sense of wonder at the world that lies beyond the window. We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto...! Nicely done. |

Fascinatingby JackoComment: Terrific shot. I hate that I can't vote in this challenge when I see something this charming that deserves every 10 it can get. I love the composition, the very up-close angle, and the somewhat grainy texture works perfectly. Good luck in the challenge! |

Yellowby cbellerComment: This is nice. I like the soft focus and the desaturation works well. The only suggestion is to maybe play with the lighting a little bit since it seems to be a little bit off. |

Color Blindby qmdiComment: I keep coming back to this one. I really like the composition and the desaturation works well...purposeful. I can't decide though whether or not I think the balloon is just a little too red. It's a bit overwhelming. I wonder what it would look like if you toned it down to balance the child instead of taking over the shot. In any event, this is a lovely portrait. |

Baby Bluesby trying2bstillComment: This is gorgeous. A lovely moment captured and the desaturation truly enhances the image. This one is going on someone's wall, no doubt. Nice job. |

RT and dogsby undieyatchComment: LOL! Funny. But take out the color on the man too, I think. Why have the man in color but the dogs in black and white? |
