The Swimming Holeby WalesPComment: Wow tremendous shot and as Michelle pointed out a 6+ in free study is nothing to be sneezed at
Beautiful reflections and the richness of the colour almost gives the shot a tonemapped/HDR feel to it
Looks like a wonderful place to get back to nature and the sort of image that makes me think 'I want to go there' (although I would wonder what wildlife lurked in that water)
ETA - Is that a knotted 'swing rope' on the right of the shot if so you can become my hero by telling me that that was what you used to enter the water on the Sunday Message edited by author 2008-07-09 03:59:02. |

On Golden Farm by bassboneComment: Woohoo! Another ribbon, great ethereal quality on this shot. Love the leading line and the way the fence and the tree 3/4 frame the field
Great job Peter |

You lookin' at Me?by bassboneComment: Yeah yeah, I get it. I take a macro of a dragonfly one month in Free Study, get a reasonable score and then the following month you go out and completely out do me in every way shape and form...Gee you know how to hurt a guy!
Amazing image (though groaned at the title) just perfect in every way

Imagine Him Miserable!by CharleneComment: Well I like this photo and I always admire people who can take great candids because I never really feel at ease doing so. Funny shot, but more than just a 'joke' image as it has a strange hynotic kind of beauty
I did love the typo in your comments about the man with the bear! |

Something Simpleby colorcarnivalComment: Very nice black and white conversion and cool textures. Yes simple but simple can also be difficult. You did a great job |

City By The Seaby KarenNfldComment: Ahhh another of your shots of picture postcard beauty. Very nice composition and I love the richness of colour, which avoids going over the top. Perhaps (IMO) lacks a 'wow' factor but it certainly is a fine image |

Fog on the Hillsby KarenNfldComment: Wow, talk about being hard on yourself, because I dont think the haloing is bad at all (in fact given the fog it almost becomes part of the image)
Great black and white conversion and I admire anyone who can capture fog this well because I sure cant. I love the fact that we can look down and see the two houses, which really helps give a sense of size/height to the image
Terrific |

a perilous crossingby rozComment: Great photo, but what stands out the most to me is the incredible colour of the sky which is at once both enticing and ominous
Really glad that people got this shot (although it would have been nicer if they had got it a bit more) |

Natural Light by colorcarnivalComment: Woot!!!!! Look at you ribbon girl. Great shot and the way you have combined clarity inside the bulb with a wonderful reflection on the glass is awesome. A great idea brilliantly delivered and thoroughly deserving of the ribbon |

Lawn Ornamentby colorcarnivalComment: Nice vignetting and great colours. Good composition - although possibly stretching the challenge a little. I love the fact that you have created such a three d feel to this shot. |
