Light of Darknessby colorcarnivalComment: Definitely one of those shots where you have a clear vision of what you want to achieve but for whatever reason others dont see the same thing that you have.
Clever shot with the flash firing and I really like the hard tones of the B&W conversion |

dandelions ethereal fringeby RetroesqueComment: Hey Lisa...I was one of your 9 - 9's on this shot. Its sometimes difficult to do something different with a subject that often appears on DPC but you have managed it here. I love the lighting and the sharpness of the 'parachute' seeds at the edge. The green of the stalk is just so strong and beautiful
Wonderful image, which has gone into my favourites
Thank you for sharing this |

Quiet River Sunriseby bassboneComment: Nice shot!!! Tonemapping can (imo) sometimes really overpower and detract from an image but not in this instance, where I feel it adds to the depth of the beauty and tranquility of the scene
I love the composition, especially the use of the rock in the foreground, which both hits a rule of third point and also leads the viewer down the river so to speak |

A Beastly Confrontationby rozComment: Very nice composition (if I was being REALLY picky I might say that I would have liked a slightly higher crop over the ears)
Amazing sharpness and a truly wonderous richness of colours.
I can pay this no bigger compliment than say that I thought it was one of SandyP's shots
Truly a thing of beauty |

A Wedding Portraitby ShannonLeeComment: I would not have put this down as one of yours. I have to say I LOVE the composition, especially the fact that the bright red of the cycle and cyclist adds to the sense of interloping. I do find the light flare and slight central light haze a bit offputting, but the fact that this scored in the 3's is quite frankly astonishing to me |

Bye..... Ya'll come back.by WalesPComment: Very 'Bridehead Revisited' type composition, which leaves the viewer to fill in the story (a facet of great photography in my opinion).
Makes me think of a wife waving her husband off to fight in the first world war. There is monetary richness in the home, but no amount of cash can ease the pain of departure
Great job |

Set Your Spirit Freeby KarenNfldComment: Ho hum...'just' another iceberg shot eh? I love it, such a cool inferred triangle with the horizon and the strong leading diagonal
I LOVE the processing the sea is an incredible green colour

The Special Olympic Gamesby WalesPComment: Great shot Ron, I love the way the runner is captured, both feet of the ground, almost looming over the viewer but with a smile that could lighten the darkest day
Good strong colouring and a real feel good factor about this shot |

My Own Brother...by WalesPComment: Ron!!!!
Many congratulations of the top ten finish, which I thought was thoroughly deserved. This shot met the challenge perfectly
I love the lighting on Kris's face (and the understated but clever lighting on the roses) and the wonderful expressions/body language on all the subjects
A very evocative image and more pwer to you for having been able to pull it together so brilliantly
This goes beyong photography and into the realms of story telling which is exactly what was required
Perfect |

Cribbage by AliciaComment: I had loved this shot and scored it an 8. I thought the composition was really strong and the dof you used was absolutely perfect. Great picture |
