Nice and far out BW. (But then I have a great fondness for the 4 megapixels, and here it shows boldly emblazoned). |

wow michelle ... THIS IS BRILLIANT .. i wonder wot goes thru those voters minds sometimes .. it reminds me of one of the more famous b&w photographers work.. its that good .. very arty, very edgy and just so excellent .. 4.6 is total idiocy .. :) |

I really like it. Although I tend to go for the high contrast and sharpening thing, don't I? Anyway. You always have very unique and well executed ideas. Always fun to not only see what you did with a challenge, but what you say about it as well. (I feel like I've been caught by the paparazzi (can't spell) ). |

Way underrated by the voters. Sometimes I just don't understand! This is brilliant! |

Definitely one of those shots where you have a clear vision of what you want to achieve but for whatever reason others dont see the same thing that you have.
Clever shot with the flash firing and I really like the hard tones of the B&W conversion |

This score must have hurt. The shot deserved much better. It was original, and well composed. I'm quite impressed with your ability to get such clear detail on the camera with the flash going off right into your lens. And it's very portrait-like.
BTW - I was going to suggest that you clean up some of the spots in the image. Then I discovered most of the spots were on my screen. :\ |

From your description it sounds like you nailed the photo you were going for. Too bad others did not see it. I like the vintage look. Maybe it would have worked better with an ancient Yashica instead or an earlier version of a DSLR. Who knows.
BTW: it's an excellent concept and photo. |

For me, way to blown out by the flash or light source or whatever that white blob is. It makes everything else really difficult to see. |

I dont know if this is what you were going for but the flash is just very distracting and the pic seems very dark everywhere else |

The blown out flash is very distracting and there is a lack of detail in the camera body which make this image quite unappealing, to me. An adjustment of settings may have helped you to get more detail in the body and make the flash a little less blown. This is just my humble opinion :o) |
