outgrowing the dirtby henningComment: Very elegant shot. Love the narrow dof. It works well to highlight the single sprout against an overwhelming background of dirt. You've met the challenge well. |

Dirtpile At Sunsetby tomcatComment: I honestly can't say this composition works. My eyes follow the pile of dirt right off the picture, and I can't tell what the "subject" is - there is no distinguishing centerpiece in the shot (which a shot like this seems to be begging for). |

Dirty Twisted Nailby snafflesComment: There is something wrong about the way this image was processed - its underexposed and undercontrasted, and the colors are very strange. I can't quite make out the details, but I think its blurry as well. Sorry! |

A Dirty Canvasby kausikmpiComment: I'm not sure how this effect was achieved, but it doesn't add to the quality of the image, IMHO. The shot is severely underexposed, and the colors are very odd. Sorry! |

My Snake Plant's Homeby emaynerComment: B&W just doesn't seem to fit with this image, and I would have shot with with a shallower dof, and recomposed to highlight a particular spot on the plant, as I really am not sure what the focus of this picture is. |

Dirty Dogby OmanOtterComment: This shot made me laugh. The look on that dog's face is just radiating enjoyment. |

The Ultimate Low Carb Dietby EBJonesComment: Mmmm.. a delicious idea.
I wish the picture was a bit sharper though. It looks soft, and I would have used a deeper dof to keep the rocks in focus. |

Sensory Deprivationby pointandshootComment: I'm not sure what this shot is trying to show. I've been staring at it for a few minutes now and I still don't get it. Sensor dirt? A blank wall? Are those specks dirt or graphical artifacts? |

From Whence We Comeby GolferDDSComment: I like the idea in this shot, but the hand is difficult to see against a background that is of the same color and nearly the same texture. |
