Day 01 - Hand in Handby shalrathComment: I love this shot. The casual mood is really captured here. Great composition and DOF. I like the guy in the back kind of taking notice of the 2 girls walking in arms. Ok, so I'm a sucker for good street candids so what?!?
Great Job! Message edited by author 2007-09-01 10:16:41. |

day1.jpgby PuckzzzComment: Very kewl shot. I'm actually OK with the halo, it adds to the surreal feel of the shot. (I'm sorry, HDR just doesn't look natural to me so a little bit more 'fakeness' is totally OK.) I really dig this photo, good work! |

Day 13by Dirt_DiverComment: This is a great image that he'll be able to look at 30yrs from now and smile. I love the little scar in his forehead and the slightly crooked hair line, perfect capture of a boy this age (reminds me of my 5yr old son). Great job! |

Vanessa.jpgby robgs57Comment: Great shot! The DOF works perfectly as does the lighting and tonal range. The border is a nice quirky touch. The bokeh is perfectly smooth (I love my Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 too!). There's really not anything I don't like about this picture, good job! |

Intenseby doc_gonzoComment: Now I just need to learn to do all of those things... lol
Sadly I really don't know anything about digital post-processing so, what you see is pretty much what I shot. I just got my first DSLR about a month ago and don't even have a copy of PS. My limited processing comes from Nikon's CaptureNX or Picasa. Time to hit the tutorials I guess, I really want to learn dodge & burn, ans USM especially.
Thanks a lot for the tips. Message edited by author 2007-05-07 17:32:10. |

coffee tableby doc_gonzoComment: Originally posted by routerguy666: To be honest, it does not look like a lot of thought was put into this shot. |
And we have a winner!
Actuallly almost no thought whatsoever went into this shot....
I was simply snapping shots around the house with my new lens.
It's a little busy but, it really is just a snap of my coffee table on any random Sunday afternoon, coasters(dragonfly thing), remotes and all. |

Waiting on Mommaby bsatttuComment: I think the softness is what really adds the gentility and emotion to this picture. Great shot! |

Day 2 - Castle Hill Lighthouseby CapeSailComment: I think the subject and composition are really fantastic, beautiful scene. The sky is definitely too light though, and personally I'd like to see the whole shot a little darker. Maybe a polarizer? |
