This is an the old rusty chain I found near my cousins old boat shed, at Newport.
I like this macro shot, re the wonderful DOF and textures, that I have captured here.
I also prefer the black and white version, as it is more dramatic.

This is another image, Day 12, taken at the same tome, at my cousins place in Newport.

a little out of focus on parts of the chain but it's okay it still looks good. Great job.

great macro and you are right in terms of the dof. Have to say that the border sets it off to perfection

i agree with others - the center composition really works great on this image. I also like the high contrast and the use of borders. the shallow DOF shots like this are very difficult - Which part do I put in focus? - and I like the choice you have made

B&W is perfect for this, and the bokeh you've captured provides nice tone and depth to highlight the links. I actually quite like that the back of the links, not the front, is what is in crisp clear focus - it's refreshingly different from what is normally expected!

There is such nice texture in this Shez. It's so wonderfully close and 3-d looking. Beautiful job!!!!

It's such a great macro, it appears that there are a couple of tiny webs clinging on for dear life! LOVE it, of course!

This is an instance where a centered composition works well IMO. I especially like the hint of spider web and subtle pattern in the background.

Wow. I love the DOF and texture in the chains. I can even see a fine hint of a spider web. Very nice photo. I agree it is really dramatic in B/W. Great job.
