Fragileby DavenitComment: Hey all, thought it would do a bit better but where it is isn't bad... Sara, it's not selective desaturation, it's just white objects with a correct color balance setting and constant temp lighting. There is some 'warmth' coming through the hand a bit but it was the best I could do.
Thanks for the comments and votes. :D |

Good to the last drop...by DavenitComment: Thanks for all the nice comments and the votes. I'm honestly surprised this made the top 10 considering it's something absolut would NEVER use in an ad. :D I just had to make a point... I'm a Smirnoff guy anyhow.
Thanks again and cheers!!! |

Cradle by hanserikComment: Nicely done. Congrats on the Ribbon!!!!! For those interested mine was shot on a smith victor shooting stage with seamless white plexi. Really nice stuff. Flashing behind it gives some nice 'sunspot' lighitng.
Again, congrats!!! |

The smoke is coming from underneath and I had no lighting on it. In the blow up of it you can actually see it a bit. This series is going to a gallery in Japan in a few months and I'll have to burn it out when I get to printing it. :-)
Thanks for the comment. |

The one that got awayby DavenitComment: Originally posted by Techo: Indeed, a brilliant series. For reasons that are none of our business I reckon you didn't post your best one? but this did well m8. Congrats on the top20 placement.

Hey all thanks for the comments. Their really appreciated...
Techno, I actually went back and reshot the image I'm using in the series after the challenge had started. I just wasn't thrilled with the outcome. So I suffered through tons of incense lung and got the image I wanted. 6.2's a good score. I think it's valid for what this is.
Thanks again. :-) |
