An interesting photo. What grabbed my attention were their SHADOWS. I notice the cow on the left has a shadow as if the Sun were to her/his left.

The middle cow's shadow appears as if the Sun were to her/his southwest.

And the cow on the right has a shadow that appears as if the Sun was just about due south of her/him and her/his shadow followed the curve of her/his belly instead of being straight like her/his back is.

The shadows probably should all be facing the same direction.

Notice the middle cow's shadow starts at her/his front leg but the cow on the right has the shadow start at her/his back leg.

Just look at each one and think where the Sun would have to be in the sky to make the shadow be where it is in the photo.

Congratulations on the ribbon. You have some nice photos.

And congratulations to Stefania and yourself on being married 22 years as of last month... I think I read that it was 20 years in a two year old post.

Regards,

Ken Chevy

Hello Chevy

Yes I can see what you mean about the shadow, the sun was of course coming fram one direction but I think it looks like this because I took this picture near the ground which is very uneven.

And thanks for the good whishes and you are right, me and my wife Stefania have been happily merried now for 22 years.

Absolutely wonderful. Great perspective, and good use a a very wide lens. Did you also you a polarizing filter to get the sky to be so dramatic?

A ribbon contender for sure. Great use of wide angle/fisheye, terrific processing, although there is something a little steely about it. It is interesting, but a bit cold for such a pastoral scene.

this is nice, but nicer if you could have picked up and moved the middle cow out of the frame, lol
