Water Pinesby DannyComment: No real point of reference that screams, "I met the challenge". But I don't care I like it. Interesting. Almost has a watercolor look to it. Or maybe looking at the world from the bottom of a coke bottle. Very artful and creative. High mark for creating something special from something that could have been a boring snapshot. |

The First of Many Clichesby TrickyBuddhaComment: HA! This isn't cliché. Try harder next time! I consider this a fun photo because of the added interest of the door. I want to know that is there. I want to tip toe towards that door. Would shooting it vertical have gotten more of the door? I would have considered cropping the first step and rotating just a tad to straighten the photo. I'm sure you considered rotating it 90 degrees clockwise, right? <winks> I also think this photo was begging to be B&W for the added suspense. The color and design in the carpet is great for a B&W. Overall - good job on meeting the challenge and providing an interesting photo. I won't take points off for failure to live up to your title. :) |

a quiet dayby lecookComment: Such a pretty picture. I wish the sky and details on the trees were not washed out. IMO (and it is just my opinion) The bright colored item on the ground is rather loud for a photo that is a "quiet day". Good job on meeting the challenge. |

Sather Towerby bobgaitherComment: I don't see it. Pleasing photo but I don't see the angle that makes me feel the challenge was met. |

Fractals Entering Cartesian Spaceby ReignComment: Thanks everyone for your comments and votes. I see a lot of people felt I should have rotated this photo. Rotating it would not have made it the photo I laid on the cold wet ground to get. : ) It is not a photo of a pillar from the ground up. It is what the title says. I loved the "math" in this photo and felt it was very much like something Escher would have drawn.. For those that felt the lines were distracting or made you dizzy - they were suppose to. : ) |

Untitledby itsaghostcarComment: This is fantastic and I hope you're getting high marks. The "noise" in the photo gives the sky a textured look almost like it is printed while the building have a painted look. Lots of good stuff in this photo that makes it art. Excellent colors, mood and interest. I can't wait to ask how you created this look. |

looking down at daddyby jbruno1397Comment: IMO cropping the child's face weakened the photo. I don't get the "feeling" that the child is looking down at you or you're looking up. Without something in the photo to act as a point of reference, I'm left feeling the challenge wasn't met. |
