Left Behindby nsoroma79Comment: I'll be stunned if you don't ribbon with this. Besides the creative technique, the girls face is nothing short of haunting. 10 |

Gum Dropsby aimeethetooComment: Good shot. I like how the lighting catches the granules of sugar. I think the background is very complimentary to the colors of the candies. The way they are spaced draws me right to the bunch near the goblet and makes me want to reach out and grab some. |

Twine String Burningby eaglebeckComment: Great texture on the twine. I don't think the burning adds anything to the picture as a whole and especially not to the texture aspect of it. 6 |

Predatorby gotrondComment: I haven't got a clue what this is supposed to be a picture of. Way too dark. |

Urban Legendby Shan2112Comment: It is most unfortunate that e301 was critical of the subject matter, just because HE didn't get it. Perhaps is was a US thing. While I appreciate all the good things about the global participation on this site, nothing in the wording of the challenge, or rules, suggest that a photographer should research the scope of understanding of the subject matter. Almost anyone in the US who can remember the 80's would remember this urban legend. For more info on it, see //www.snopes.com/horrors/freakish/poprocks.htm
It took me less than a minute to put the elements together, and my reaction, like many others, was LOL. That urban legend, and few others, are very much a part of the 80's that I lived through. |

Darn Windby angela_packardComment: Interesting shot, hope your comments explain how you did that. But... the subject of the shot is the person, not the shadow. I think it would have been more appropriate for the challenge, and even a more interesting shot, if you had cropped the person out. |

The Crow in The Cemeteryby Shan2112Comment: "Quoth the raven, 'Nevermore'." Edgar Allen Poe This is cold, chilling, ominous, a reminder of our mortality, cause to pause and reflect. On top of all that, it is well composed and beautifully processed. The converging headstones could go on for... eternity. 10 |
