I can't really make out what this is...

apparently a little too dark for my monitor. looks like a bottle opener can't really tell. It is low key though

Could be a nice idea. An image of an eye with lots of sharp detail would be better.

your photo appears too dark on my montior, it looks like a sunglass lenses or a the eye of the panther, alittle bit brighter would have helped out alot. Of course on your monitor it probably looks great since that what happens to me too

Image has a lot of black but not very much detail in the dark areas. Having detail in the shadows it what sets low-key apart from other types of photography. It might be interesting to see how the composition is changed if you do nothing more than center the eye on one of the rule of thirds intersection points.

Wow. I can't tell what this is supposed to be. Low key is supposed to be dark, but I think this is too dark.

Too minimalistic for my taste. I like the idea, but with a little more crop.

I don't even know what this is to comment.

Not enough info. To me low key doesn't mean a black picture with 30 pixels of info. Why not just add a 305 pixel border?

Sorry, too low-key (on my monitor) to see enough to judge well.

19" panel and I had too look real hard to figure out it was an eye. I think the little reflection highlite on the left threw me off.

I haven't got a clue what this is supposed to be a picture of. Way too dark.

I like this shot, but I'd also like to see a little more of the eye area.

Difficult one, have checked the calibration on my monitor and am battling to make this one out. I know, low key.... supposed to be dark. Best I can do, is a middle of the line vote (just in case).

I don't know what this is. It meets the spirit of the challenge, but it fails to communicate.

This is really neat, although I think I might like it more if you could see a tiny bit more of the eye. Or if the eye were bigger. But really nice

A little bit heavy on the darkness here. It looks interesting, but I can't actually see anything. It looks to me like the window of a small boat in the dark with a person's face inside a gently lit cabin. The person's face looks fearful.

I have absolutely no idea if this is correct or not though because there is not enough detail.

If you had cropped in to a square crop or perhaps slightly more landscapish, maybe there would be a bit more detail visible in the face.

There also appears to be some other things in the shadow, but I can't make any of it out, it almost looks like a bat wing or something?

I have my monitor calibrated and at max brightness.

Sorry. (not a 1)
