Feb-6-New-Hope-PA.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Nice composition. Dividing the frame into thirds between the sky, trees, and water works well to give the photo a tranquil feel, while the off centered subject keeps it from being boring. |

i heart laundry.by ShannonLeeComment: Great idea. You might want to play around a bit with the perspective tool in PS to remove any trace of distortion and make the composition truly symmetrical. |

Day 6by renegade1966Comment: Nice idea framing the skyline with the trees. I would suggest crouching down a bit to allow the one branch to completely clear the buildings and cropping out the extraneous trees and branches to the right to strengthen the composition. |

Day 4by karmatComment: Nice contrast between the yellow and blue of the two engines. With the f/1.8 available on your lens you might want to consider using a very shallow DOF to emphasize the two engines and remove the competing distractions of the foreground branches and busy background by reducing them to a blur. |

AndDT.jpgby rider64Comment: Nice job capturing the deserted atmosphere. Too many small towns and cities in the US are looking like this today, with all the malls, shopping centers, and Walmart-style stores drawing the shoppers out of downtown areas. The local historical society here had an exhibit with vintage photographs placed alongside photos taken from the same viewpoint today and what has been lost is truly disheartening. |

My House Day 1by emily212Comment: Nice presentation. The slightly cold blue toning of the B&W seems very appropriate. |

Day 1--The Morning Paperby ElaineComment: Nice minimalist approach. I'd suggest cropping the very top though. That very little bit of detail adds nothing to the composition. It just distracts the viewer trying to figure out what might be up there. |
