Waaaay out on the West coast of Canada you find Vancouver. The city of... well, I'm not aware of any titles given to this city. But as I submit my pictures, I'll try to give a little information about this city as shown in the photo.
Vancouver tries to be an environmentally friendly city, and as such, limits the number of highways around town. In fact, there are NO highways that go into downtown. If you want to get downtown, you get stuck on a main road waiting at every light. The idea behind this is that with more roads, you just get more cars, not faster moving traffic. So, rather than pave everything in sight, we leave it the way it is and give people alternate ways of getting around, like the bus and train and a fairly good bike path system.
This is a view from right next to where I work in the suberbs. The vanishing point in this picture is the Oak street bridge, and on the other side, this highway ends as you head towards the center of Vancouver.
Interestingly enough, if you head the other way on this highway you can, without taking an exit, get at least as far as Mexico. I've not looked to see if it goes farther. |

| Really like the motion in your shot. WOW!!! My youngest son went on a 2 month tour of the US, his only deviation was into Vancouver. At that point in the journey he had our oldest son with him. I fear that you may actually get another resident in #1 son. He loved your fair city.! |

I love this too. Very well done. The richness, the contrast - it all works very well together.
Suggestions for improvement (IMHO): Perhaps just a tad too dark. I'd like to see a little more detail in the deep blacks. |

| Fantastic. Vancover is a place I have always wanted to visit and I have relatives on Vancover Island which is somewhere else I would like to see. I love this black and white shot, it is really striking. |
