City of Bridgesby sohrComment: Very nice. The white diagnal of the bridge, the reflection in the water... well lit building in the center. Well done, 8 - chrisab. |

The Cantaloupe With No Cornersby akcoffeeguyComment: Nice. Good composition - foreground / background. Possibly a little too close to fense. And if possible, you might want to try this shot with a neutral density filter or polorizer to deepen the exposure on the sky. Pretty shot, though, and meets the challenge. chrisab. |

A Touch of Goldby rumttuggerComment: Ah ha! This is a really nice shot. I actually wish there was a little more of the foreground foliage, which I think is the highlight of this shot, despite the great fogged over mountains. The shot also looses a little when you had to over-expose the top to the rest of the shot right. 7 - chrisab |

Corner? My whole world...by myqylComment: Not very compelling artistically or technically. If you're going to submit shots that aren't particularly strong creatively, you should try to be sure they're technically sound (in focus). |

Land Of Cottonby ShiiizzzamComment: Nice scene. The red barn with a white roof is great. And the deep red is beautiful. The shot has a great mood. I would have maybe tried to level the horizon. chrisab. |

Greetings from Pittsburghby alanfreedComment: This is nice. I think it's a little over exposed for my taste. The sky is too bright for a night shot, and some of the brighter lights are overblown to the point of distraction. But the reflection on the river is very nice, and the colors are good. 7 - chrisab. |

Seattleby joannsComment: I SO know how you feel! Living in Seattle and seeing the mountain off in the distance on a clear day is just one of the most amazing sites. Communicating the mountain along with the city is sort of the holy grail of Seattle Photography, I guess. And it's a really tough shot to get. I tried many shots of this as well and decided in the end that I couldn't express the whole scene on 'film' as I saw it. That's a big part of photography, I think - editing reality. If we were meant to capture the entire scene as it really existed, photography would be mostly 360 degree 120mm film loops :) Anyway, 6.66 is a very respectable score.. good job! |
