Sonby JRalstonComment: Cool silhouette and sunset. Looks like a nice lens. However, watch out for the extreme wide angle deformation at the edge; kid's head looks badly deformed... |

Every girls nightmareby LalliSigComment: Pretty solid picture. That's what making a photograph instead of taking a photograph is all about.
One minus note, the left side of her face is almost overexposed; it draw too much attention. |

alongby BowieComment: You can go simpler than that. It's really working here. The shallow dof and the diagonal formed by the line on the right side creates a nice big triangle and you got a big rectangle on the opposite side. Makes it's balanced but dynamic.
And oh, the texture is well defined in the focus area. |

Stories of Her Life by librodoComment: I predict a strong finish... wrinkled faces always do well in these challenges. However, you got a rather unique shot here. Her face is kind of scary. The zillion rings really calls for some attention too. This balance the photo really well; kinds of share the centre of interest with here face. |

Drydocked, Wellfleet Harborby Bear_MusicComment: Very nice photo. One of the best. The colour contrast is very intense. The right mix of red green and blue with a tought of white. Texture is really good. Very well framed. The rusty thing reminds me of red cresent... and it's red!!!
I predict a very good finish. |

Japanese Gardenby dsa157Comment: That's a very cool, peaceful scene. Bravo. The single hue is very powerful. |

texture of a palmby lmcsweeneyComment: The photo is not a bad one, but not a top ten either. However, you choose to submit a rather small photo in the first ever challenge that allow 720x720 photographs. Even if it were an exceptional photograh, it would never score high. You got to use the maximum allowed resolution (at least in height or width) to get a chance against the rest. |

Just Leaf Me Aloneby jorrComment: I have a hard time trying to find an area which is in good focus. Also, the lighting can be perfected; there's too much glare for what I wold expect in this kind of shot. I don't know if the leaf was wet, but a diffuse or inderect light source would have yielded better results. |
