Looks like the USS Olympia, and way to work the North Wind in so prominently - just wish that it had a sail up to match. Interesting lines. |

The aliasing really kills this beautiful shot |

This is a wee bit subtle (connection to challenge theme) I think. Technically it fits, it's just not "in your face". Tricky getting all of those angled lines to resize correctly without jaggies. Exposure and clarity of this photo came out nice. A polarizing filter would give you a richer blue in the sky. The shot to get here (need a large zoom though) is that vertical flagpole and the multiple colored flags flying on the distant ship. All of the above is JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Combination of a sailing vessel and the flags works to convey the challenge topic. Fairly good composition - now you just need to have someone remove that building that looks out of place. :-) |

Nice colour and comp, but I think the resize has left you with a lot of jaggies :( Not sure what advice to give as this has happened to me before as well, and I still have no clue why. |

The striped ropes come off as being oversharpened though it probably has to do with thin lines in the photo. There are so many ropes though that it is a little distracting as they seem to consume a lot of the composition. My eye is drawn to all the ropes on the right rather than Old Glory on the left.
