 Nearly straight from RAW. Added a faint gradient from lower left diagonally in and faded it to contain the bright corner. Slight hue/sat adjustment in green and red, and slight levels adjustment.

(Redid it, cloning out a small white blob of corrosion at the juncture of ring and hull)

Resize, crop a little bit top and bottom (not much at all), USM, borders.

Had this one rated high as well. I liked the flow of the composition and the break in it + the light + the texture. Especially the rusted circle in the form of the half crescent moon did it for me. It adds that extra bit of oomph to the composition.

i think your shot really has tons of texture, the colors pop and the composition is great, i'm kinda suprised that landed in 21st. all in all very nice shot

Very nice photo. One of the best. The colour contrast is very intense. The right mix of red green and blue with a tought of white. Texture is really good. Very well framed. The rusty thing reminds me of red cresent... and it's red!!!
I predict a very good finish.

Definitely my favourite from the challenge. The blue sky as a background really helps the other colours and textures stand out.
