Very unique though, most of the other baby pictures are "just" baby pictures. You used more imagination, focusing on a specific body part. |
| 08/15/2002 06:23:00 AM | Taking The Lead by autoolComment: Great minds think alike? This was the very picture I had in mind to do, but I was away traveling all week and simply didn't have time. Only I wanted to use the more distinctly "Anasazi" beans. Traditional pintos were my second choice. The detail and texture of individual beans is great. no distracting shadows, and even the background is pretty clear. I might have cropped a bit differently to get the sprout a little lower, but I don't know what you had to work with in the original. I don't claim to be an expert, but I like this lots and don't think I could have done better, probably not even as well. This would be a good advertisement for a seed company. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/15/2002 03:09:00 PM | New Forms For Rosy Futures!by JakComment: This made me smile, although I don't like to see the name of the challenge (new) used in the title... too cliche. The title would be effective just by dropping the word new. Unless the "forms" were in fact creamy colored, I think the photo could be lightened up some... on my computer anyway, it shows quite dark. Very original, though, and I like pictures with a sense of humor. |
| 08/16/2002 12:16:00 PM | Hopes and Dreamsby NitenComment: concept of rings is good, but too much red distracts from the rings... I lose focus on the rings. Also I find the foreground looks blurry... again distracting. I would crop in close on those rings, get great detail there, and let the picture tell the story rather than the title. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/15/2002 04:44:00 AM | Sea Foalby andrewmComment: I love sea life, and this shows nice detail and good clarity, especially since it was probably taken through aquarium glass. I like the balance of color. I might have cropped it differently for balance, but of course I don't know what you had to work with for the original. I've had photos that could have been so much better if only I'd been able to crop just a little differently... |
| 08/16/2002 11:46:00 AM | Who's New at the Zoo?by cdelucComment: Oh, this is cute! Although I really don't like to see the challenge name (new) used as part of the title. Be creative, get out your thesaurus! I do like the picture though, I like everything about it. Good detail, color, balance, etc. |
| 08/15/2002 04:01:00 PM | New Dayby willsy66Comment: I don't like to see the name of the challenge (new) used in the title... too cliche or something. There are lots of other, more creative ways to express it. Actually looks more like a sunset to me, but I know sometimes you get real red skies in the morning too. Good photo but too many "sunrise" type photo's in this challenge. |
| 08/15/2002 03:00:00 PM | fawnby KrazyKatComment: Just LOOK at this beautiful little creature. I know how hard it is to get a good CLOSE picture of wild life, especially if you don't have a high power telephoto. I'd like to know how long you waited for this shot! |
| 08/15/2002 04:26:00 PM | Grand Beginnings!by shedevilComment: One of the more creative photos of the challenge. I love the lines of the hand and the feel of the photo, but needs a richer background and maybe a little sharper focus. |
| 08/15/2002 03:04:00 PM | The birth of.....by psychephylaxComment: An interesting representation on "new"... I'm not sure what the items on the bible at the top right are. The fuzziness of the top left is a bit distracting, but overall, I liked it. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
