Long Way To Goby KylieComment: Exploring things here, which is good. I think shots like this need some dramatic lighting to add to them, although what you have isn't far off that?
I'm not sure about the focus, I mean have the point of focus about half way into the frame. I'd like to see what it looks like with the imediate foreground sharp. I'd maybe try darkening the edges to focus attention more centrally. What looks like ceiling is a bit distracting. Just thinking of variations...... |

No Exitby KylieComment: Not one of my favorites but very surreal. |

Water Mosaicby KylieComment: This is cool! The colours and the feeling of movement in the water is great. The brighter area top right doesn't bother me but the diagonal bottom left does. I would try cloning it out, shouldn't be too hard with it being an abstract pattern. |

Seen in Spaceby KylieComment: Great thinking! I might have tried zooming in further, is possible, or cropping tighter. Being creative like this is what its about. |

Little White Housesby Judith PolakoffComment: blindjustice is right about it deserving a ribbon, unfortunately there's only three to give out.
It really does have feeling, I think its an outstanding shot, one I would be very proud of.
The composition is excellent the range of tones very good, only the one house on the left is a bit burn out. The sky adds to the feeling. Very well done, an excellent result. |

Stormyby ZoomdakComment: Well done Thomas, I idn't get time to vote i the challenge but I like to look through the entries afterwards and, as you did with my entry, I recognised that shoreline as your handywork.
Great lead in lines from the waves, Haystack Rock is a bit central, might have been better compositionaly a bit to the right?
Nice cloud detail and misty shoreline, congratulations. |

Novemberby wlevyComment: It is a good image, I think you suffered a bit with it being a "Calendar" challenge.
Keep em coming. |

Novemberby stupidcatComment: Give us a break, I'm sick of seeing these shots, even in the UK, so I don't know how you must feel over there? OK, its focussed and he looks like he's making a point but the background is far too distracting and a calendar? You're joking right? |

AUGUSTby PDavisComment: An interesting high key shot. Not sure I'd choose it for a calendar but that won't affect my scoring at all. The focussing seems a bit off, that may be the high key effect or just the surface of the material, the lid of the back lefthand box and the ball in the open box for instance? The lighting is a bit harsh for my taste. The overall effect doesn't give any impression of texture in my opinion. Its a very nice idea which may have worked better with softer lighting and a duotone effect? Good work, a five from me. |

NOVEMBERby Pep VentosaComment: Nice shot, good to get the birds in like that. Seems a bit over sharpened. Is that building work still going on on the bridge? The light is a bit disapointing, seems a bit flat, (not within your control I know). Unfortunately a well photographed location of which there are many excellent examples and you are bound to get comparisons. Well done anyway, a five from me. |
