I would have liked to have seen a bigger fish, the tail of the fish more in focus or a more vertical crop. but then maybe you are going for the blur of motion effect? Maybe another color background would have seemed even more surreal than just white. the shaddows under the fish suggest he isn't flying very high. Pretty fish though, nice color.

Hello all and thanks for all the votes and helpfull comments on this my first entry after hanging out a while and watching from the wings. For those of you who asked, the picture was taken at Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada. Thank you to all who correctly commented on the greens and magentas. between overedoing it with levels and color"mis"mangement thats why most of them are there. however the water and the ice did have a natual greenish tinge and there was some color in the mist and falls from the sunlight...but yes...the colors were off. thank you to those that noticed enought to comment they shouldn't be there, and also thank you to those that liked them or liked the picture in spite of them.

Great shot. I like the even gradient look of the background, still very white behind the subject. I'm not sure how "light" the subject (and the great reflection) is but it still looks like a challenge to get just the right exposure which I guess is the point of this contest. gotta be a 10 in my book.

Very sharp, nice colors and very nice translucent look on the wings agains the white background. nice composition too. vertical and horizontal wings, diagonal body with the head and beak looking down and to the right. My question is now did you get this bird to pose so perfectly for you? solid 10. good job.
